The episode picks up two physical consequences of the entity's visit: strange red crystals have begun growing where it struck Pavi and Nisha, and a growing number of Ellorans are becoming "afflicted" — gripped by excessive, contagious fear that tips into open panic through the episode.
For Pavi, the hour delivers a personal revelation. She learns that her leg was not, as she had always believed, missing from birth — it was amputated when she was little. By the end of the episode she has been fitted with a prosthetic, a moment that reframes everything she thought she knew about her own childhood and about who removed her from it.
The threat finally stops circling. The entity attacks Karthik directly, and in the confrontation the twins bend its energy away from him — and in doing so both of them see visions of their parents, the clearest look at the people at the center of the season's mystery so far. With the city fracturing, Jae takes the practical route: he persuades Chancellor Kayoko to radio the other havens and ask for help, the first time Ellora has reached outward in the story.
